Purpose: A focus on gratitude will lead us to salvation, a life of fulfillment & joy, and a continued right relationship with God.

Introduction: Happy Thanksgiving! As we consider Thanksgiving Day; I want to ask you what it means to us. Thanksgiving is so important because if we are not grateful; what we have won’t mean much to us. The Bible instructs us to be thankful. We won’t be if we don’t appreciate what God has done, what God is doing, and what God is going to do! If we are thankful, our life should show it.

Definitions:

Thankful: Pleased and relieved; expressing gratitude and relief

Grateful: Feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness

Appreciation: The recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone

or something
